An Analysis on Anxiety
Anxiety is nothing but a simple defense mechanism which triggers in a person›s mind which, when blown out of proportionate can result in psychological problem. Anxiety is worrying or thoughts about future events which may be good or bad.
A perfect state for an anxiety would be thoughts about future. A person who is worried about his future or nervous about future can suffer from anxiety. Say for an example a person’s perception on his marital life, educational plans, work and business related baseless fears can result in Anxiety. These are needless worries that an individual picks up due to lack of self-confidence and motivation. In the name of building a constructive future the people who suffer from anxiety tend to forget the present living scenario which will cost them eventually in the future.
Anxiety can result in a great amount of weight loss, loss of appetite, loss of sleep and the individual becomes prone to common health related issues like nausea, diarrhea, stomachache, headache, chest pain etc.
Loss of sleep and dehydration are two major factors which can affect a person, physically as well as psychologically. A person who doesn’t sleeps properly is most likely to pick up all psychological related problems, the reason being an unsettled mind. The food that we intake should add up in our body system as proteins, vitamins or other useful nutrients. Incase of dehydration, the food we intake does not convert into nutrients and results in weightloss, weakness, inability to perform. This will lead to other possible disorders related to physical state.
The optimized ways to overcome anxiety are fearlessness, having confidence in one’s abilities, not to oversee the present sequence, avoiding pessimistic behaviour etc.
Pranayama (breathing exercise) is one of the ancient ways to control breathing pattern of a human being. It can be adopted to overcome anxiety. If a person is excited or nervous, his breathing pattern changes drastically. Practicing Pragnayam will regulate such behaviour.
Counseling will be the final stage in case the person is not able to overcome anxiety. Counseling helps a person to ease his pressure out of his mind. Personal Counseling would help a person to a larger extent in overcoming anxiety.
