Hallucinations

Hallucination is a disorder in which an affected person presumes or believes that he is able to view things or hear voices that are actually not present. Hallucination can also be considered as a perceptional error as the person presumption turns to be wrong. Hallucinations can be mostly seen in fragile minds which needs some sort of support from an external factor. Hallucination is not only limited to visual or voice but also in the form of smell, taste and sensation of crawling in and around the skin.

Causes of Hallucinations

Hallucination can even occur to a normal person. It is nothing but an error in perception. Reports reveal that patients suffering from Schizophrenia are more likely to experience hallucinations. Persons suffering from medical illness like brain cancer, kidney failure or any major illness will tend to have hallucinations as their body and mind becomes fragile due to illness. Some of the other factors that can be apprehended towards hallucinations are usage of drugs like LSD, cocaine, marijuana etc. Lack of adequate sleep may also trigger Hallucinations which would eventually pass away as the person copes up with adequate sleep.

Symptoms of Hallucinations

The symptoms of Hallucinations can be easily tracked as it happens in a conscious state of find. People would tend to hear voices which are not existent. Visual Images of personalities appearing before them, communicating with loved ones who are actually not present or deceased are some of the signs of hallucinations. Some may also experience taste as well as smell of their favorite food products or drugs. In some cases, the sufferer may feel a crawling sensation if he is sensitive to bugs.
