Sleepwalking is a condition in which an individual walks or runs during the third or fourth stage of the Sleep. Generally people suffering from this condition tend to have their eyes opened while sleep-walking. The sufferer would walk or run around the room or may open the door and venture in to the neighborhood, and would not respond to any communications. Neither do they remember the incidents which occurred during this condition.
Causes of Sleepwalking
Sleepwalking is a common condition which is found in children and people in the early adulthood. The major cause of Sleepwalking would directly lead to sleeping disorders, lack of adequate sleep. As such the medical world does not suggest any precise medicine towards this difficulty as Sleepwalking is not a disease or a disorder. It is just a condition that rises due to lack of proper sleep and also due to anxiety or stress.
Safety Measurements
Family Members must ensure that the doors are kept locked. They must maintain the room in such a condition in which sharp objects or any object does not interferes the Sleep-walker to avoid any injuries.
Sleep Walking is a condition which is mostly associated with stress and lack of sleep. To overcome it one can adopt Yoga (Shavasana) and meditation.
